Product Highlight - Margot Earrings

Today we have a super fun shoot to talk about, which is the Nike September photoshoot featuring the GAUDESS Margot Neon Green Earrings, which was shot by Yanran Xiong (@pistachia). The shoot encapsulates the energetic and exciting nature of the Margot Earrings; they make a splash in the shoot with their bright neon color shining through the mainly pink outfit that they were styled with, by Madison Wen Gu (@mmmaddddison).

This shoot displays the fun we want to inspire with the Margot Earrings, as they were based on the founding sisters of GAUDESS’s grandmother who embodied the fearless and lively style of 70’s and 80’s. This shoot by Yanran Xiong, also incorporates nostalgic imagery, with the callbacks to the early 2000s through the props used in the shoot, for instance, the shots of the model Addison Soens (@soensaddison) talking on a corded phone and posing with the lollipop. To me the multiple photos/collage of Addison Soens talking on the phone is reminiscent of an iconic scene in Mean Girls, which is a film that is famous for its early 2000s aesthetic and fashion.

The editing of some photos taken also makes them appear to be vintage, through their coloring; they seem to have a film-like filter on them. The model Addison Soens has a sporty and fun vibe throughout the shoot, which highlights the Nike socks and Nike sports top that were added to the smart pink look she was styled in. The stylist Yanran Xiong created a fun crossover between sporty and girly, which the model Addison Soens embodied throughout the shoot!
